Dr Genevieve Maher is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has been part of the Northwest Health team in Tamworth since 2019.
She completed her Doctor of Medicine in 2007 at the University of the Philippines-Manila, then worked as a GP before moving to Australia. In 2011, she earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Queensland and later contributed to research with their Faculty of Medicine, focusing on health behaviours and outcomes.
Dr Maher’s special interests include health promotion, women’s and children’s health, mental health, and chronic disease management. She also speaks Filipino (Tagalog) and sees patients at both the ETMC and Calala clinics.
